There are three similar wattles in the local area that sometimes are confused. The local native Acacia pravissima has stiff grey-green wedge shaped leaves usually with a bit of a point. Introduced A. cultriformis has slightly softer leaves that are more rounded. Less common is introduced A. vestita with greener leaves that are hairy.
