No, that looks like it might be Blechnum cartilagineum, though I can't be certain from the photo. The triangular shape and the tip of the frond don't look like B. nudum. Check for dark scales at the base of the stipe (bottom of frond).

The stem is too obscured by grass to be sure if there are scales or just shadows. I will try to check next time I am in the area.

Jenny I would appreciate if you could check this out as we have few records of cartilagineum. I'll reject the record now, but if you go to your sightings you will be able to reactivate the record if you get a chance to check the fern out again. Thanks michael

B. cartilagineum is a very tough fern and grows in quite dry areas. Oakey Creek on the northern end of the Tidbinbillas is a good place to look for it. I even found one specimen in an erosion gully in the Black Mountain Reserve, 100m south of Belconnen Way.
