Some similar ones with yellows flowers in the vicinity as well but different species?

Ryu this looks like Kennendia rubicunda , which would be the first record of a non-garden escapee of this plant in the ACT. This has been a plant I have been looking for, for decades. Do you have any other images?

It looks like a leggy Lotus cruentus to me. I can see a hint of five leaflets. The nearest records in this sort of habitat are near Suggan Buggan. Other records near Wagga and west, in the sort of open habitat I am used to it being in. It is definitely not Kennedia rubicunda. Could someone with a collecting permit take a specimen into the Herbarium?

I have added a better image of the flower.
This is in the swampy section (which wasn't so swampy) of Yerrabi Track near where it heads back into thicker forest. There were at least several specimens in the vicinity. I'm not sure if she has a permit but maybe Suzi Bond may be able to collect a sample as I think she mentioned that she does butterfly surveys there monthly...

Do the leaves have five leaflets? It is hard to tell from your photo. The closer up photo of the flower suggests three leaflets, though that can happen anyway with leaves close to the flower.

All leaflets on plant appear to be in threes. You can blow up an image (and Ryu's image has good resolution) by selecting the photo and then holding down the Control key and clicking the middle wheel (old style mouse) or up and down movement stroke in new design mouses. Thanks for the detailed description of location Ryu, I will ask a ranger to take a specimen

A bit of a let down, actually being a weed species. The red flower was a bit misleading and is an unusual sport of a usually yellow flowering plant - see record
