For a definite ID, a photo of the flower head from the side as well as face on is needed. The bracts around the flower head are an important part of identification.

I must have hit the wrong line first time round. It is not possible with these photos to ID to subspecies level.

Hi guys, I'll try to get back there on my mountain bike this week (of course riding on the main fire trails Waltraud and then walking over off the trail off the bike). I think I've lost the magic lens or it's under the car seat.
