UMS002: Scottsdale Gungoandra Ck @ Ford

The actual ford on Gungoandra Creek is at -35.8813, 149.1347.  There are two pools at the site. One is just downstream of the ford, where the creek makes and S-bend at -35.8823, 149.1347.  I did a number of recordings from here especially  when the creek crossing was inaccessible.  Another reliable pool is just upstream of the ford, which fits the description.  That is at -35.8838, 149.1345.  I have used both of these areas - the two pools often have different species in them.

 

 

more information- added in 2020 The reed beds were very much reduced in size compare to previous years. This area was burnt during the Clear Range Fire in Feb 2020. The actual coordinates of this site are -35.8838, 149.1345.
