Not really much keying to be done.

For K ericoides, VicFlora says taxonomic status is not accepted.

PlantNET says stuff but concludes, “the name has been applied to a very diverse range of plants that vary in habit, leaf shape, indumentum and branching. No taxonomic resolution of the Australian populations has been made yet.”

Regarding CNM, one moderator in particular, has not been concerned about the number of stamen. See:

Kunzea ericoides (Burgan)

Kunzea ericoides (Burgan)

Kunzea ericoides (Burgan)

Kunzea ericoides (Burgan)

I’d call this one K ericoides because that is what we called the one nearby. I really do not believe it has been planted.

It’s a bit of a mess, isn’t it?

There are a lot of stamen for it to be K.ericoides, but then again this taxa is actually a group of undescribed species so one should expect some variety. Have a go using Vicflora Lisa and get back to me

Are you sure this isn’t just Burgan - ie K ericoides? Not too far from where I found burgan. I could try to key it out 😊

Why would anyone plant it there? That’s bizarre
