The fruit is quite distinctive, and is essential for confirming to species, as otherwise the plant looks similar to other species in the same family.
But as Damasonium minus is already recorded from this wetland edge, and the other similar species have not (I have explored this wetland edge a bit, especially when the fence was old and fallen), then the sighting can be accepted as Damasonium minus.
