Field trips for Canberra Nature Mappers! The walks previously lead by Ciaran Ernst-Russell and the NSW visit to Yass River, hosted by John Storey, were successfull.
The following event was cancelled/postponed because of the wet weather. Hopefully it will be rescheduled for sometime in January.
Yerrabi Track & Boboyan Trig: 2/12/23, 10 participants, 9am-3pm : For those with a fiery sense of adventure but not quite as much leg power this walk is for you! In this trip we will delve into the diverse world of montane bogs, examining the range of plant and insect life that they support. We will then continue on to the summit of Mt Boboyan moving through tall montane forest and granitic subalpine communities as we do so. Participants on this trip will first meet at the Namadgi visitors center and then move on to the Yerrabi track carpark along the Boboyan road. This trip will involve 4km of moderate trailwalking for around 3-4 hours. Guest Leaders: Jane Roberts & Roger Farrow (Hopefully).
