I'm very pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Kate Crawford as a strategic advisor for NatureMapr.

Kate has been a strong advocate of NatureMapr's mission for quite some time and now formally joins the team, giving us a hand with some of the strategic planning and relationship building ahead of us as a fast growing biodiversity recording platform.

Kate was raised on a farm in Western NSW and her impressive career includes 10 years as a pharmacist, 7 years as a teacher, followed by a successful 30 year academic career researching human cognition, problems solving and technical innovation in social contexts. Kate has led the design and implementation of online platforms which engage the public, business, government and research audiences. She has also held advisory roles with the spatial industry, Queensland Health, Indigenous services in Queensland, Trade and Investment Queensland and green aviation.

Kate also volunteers in her local native plant nursery and participates in local land care activities to stay tapped in with her love for the natural world.

Kate's extensive knowledge and experience is an incredible asset and we are very fortunate to be able to tap into it.

Thank you so much Kate for everything so far and a very warm welcome from the NatureMapr team!

Great news! IMHO we need to convince ALA and CSIRO to recommend NatureMapr. Good luck Kate. 😊

Wonderful news - Kate is an amazing academic, networker, visionary and person, one of the few who can "look over the horizon".
