in some places the controlled burn came all the way to the creek. This part of the creek in the Aranda Bushland had water throughout the winter. I visited the site from before sundown until it was dark. It was quite magical to hear the changes to the animal life as the sunlight changed. There were always one or two frog 'voices', which increased dramatically as the evening came on. I also recorded frogs at the place where the drainage goes under the GDE/Caswell road. I'm not sure if this is already observed. Overall, it seems as though the frog numbers were increased.; Size: 1 m; Aquatic Veg: moss; Bank Veg: native grasses; Overhead Canopy: gum trees, not dense; Landscape: bushland, although a burn-off had taken place a day before and stumps were still smoldering; QAQC Notes: Microcassette
