From the literature I've seen, Endoraecium carnegiei is thus far only known from Acacia dealbata which has bipinnate foliage. The second image here shows the foliage to be leaflike phyllodes thus excluding Acacia dealbata as the host in this record. In the absence of molecular data, with these stem galls one needs to see what the spores look like to distinguish between Uromycladium and Endoraecium species. Then the host needs to be identified to species to possibly distinguish between the known Acacia rust species. Or using the literature showing fungus-host records one can often make an educated guess as to the rust species involved. I don't know if there is anyone working on Acacia rust taxonomy these days but there is still much to be done. Even in the ACT there are three unlisted hosts for Uromycladium, I suspect Endoraecium species are perhaps even poorer known.
