Significant sighting

MichaelMulvaney noted:

7 Mar 2025

While Known from Gunning showground this appears to be a new nearby recorded location for this threatened grasshopper

User's notes

Nymphs but only 2. Cool, breezy and windy day but also very crowded with grasses and these were on the everlastings on cleared pathway. Lots of area unexplored. Found in one other area uploaded separately.

@MichaelMulvaney yes likely a new location. Recommended to visit by John the chair of Gunning landcare. It is called Gunning golf course but is only a golf course in name. Looks like maybe some archery occurs there. Its crown land. It would be worth making it a new location on CNM I think! We may find a much larger population here and who knows what else.

Yes I've noticed this overgrown golf course in passing. There are quite a few patches of suitable keyacris habitat along the Gundaroo Gunning Road.

Yes a little keyacris hot spot perhaps.
