Returning from most recent trip away this week I've heard the constant chip, chip in my backyard every day. I initially thougth it was a Koel chick but thought it a bit early. Then realised it was a Red Wattlebird. Thought there were two but only today was able to get good clear photos to confirm two chicks. One is still giving the chip, chip chip call but the other is practicing its adult call. No sign of the adults today but have been seen before. The Koel pair seem to be keeping close.
