These specimens were found growing on dead grass stalks in a thick growth of damp, weedy grasses - a very humid microhabitat. The arrow points to a very immature fruitbody. In the second picture, the three inset photos show some of the intricately branched or coralloid hyphal outgrowths found all over the outer surface of the fruitbody (which help greatly in identifying Calyptella capula).
