Actively running around on the ground, rarely pausing. Approx 15mm long.

Hi Steve, sorry for the slow response. I've been puzzling over this ant and concluded that I don't know what species it is. It could be Camponotus ephippium, which has been collected occasionally around the ACT & more broadly in a large area of Australia, but I have never seen it. So it is possibly a new species record for CNM but I can't be sure enough to call the species. Cheers, Jon
