Could be a Macrontona sp. but not one I have encountered before. Will enquire further

Not all grasshoppers are identifiable from a single picture. Could I encourage you and other contributors to take lateral as well as dorsal pictures of the same species, especially showing the colour and pattern on the hind tibiae. This one does show the unusual pattern on the tibiae. The shape of the prosternal process is important to ID Macrotona species although I don't expect contributors to focus on this.

Youning from ANIC has kindly identified is M securiformis. Some specimens lack the dorsal stripes.
