The first photos is the fly that I reported at 4300951 and it is still stuck to the fly screen after over a month. I read that the appearance of the fly, with its wings unnaturally high assists the spread of the fungal spores. I have not noticed any increase in the spores on the initial fly.
I have however seen two other possible cases of this fungus around my garden. The the next two shots show half a fly, and I wonder if the spores led to an 'explosion' in the fly's abdomen. This fly is a good 20 metres away from the first and well around a corner.
The final shot is of a fly that was about 1 metre away from the second fly but has since disappeared, possibly from strong wind.
