This female Jewel Spider had made its web over a dead-looking invasive blackberry bush at the southern most dam at Callum Brae. Its underside was easy to photograph as it was close to the outside while to photograph the topside I had to push the thorny branches out of the way, taking care not to disturb the spider. There did not appear to be any food in its web.
