I came across this Tasmanicosa Wolf Spider in a burrow at the northernmost dam. She was in a burrow with no lid, waiting on the edge of it but did not come out, in fact she withdrew slightly further in as I photographed her. The photo has a leaf in it that may give an idea of scale.

Unfortunately while hiding in its burrow we can't see whether it has the "union jack" patterning its thorax - which means Venatrix can't be ruled out.
