Inside a sawn-off hollowed out log next to track. Not sure if this qualifies as a sighting. We have seen a brown snake nearby in the past. Dry west-facing hillside, no water nearby.

Sorry, not possible to identify which species as not enough of the sloughed skin is showing e.g. we would need a full mid body section to count mid-body scale rows, and it would be helpful if the head region was present (scales on the top and side of head) in the photos. But thanks for submitting, these sloughed skins can often be very helpful.
