I find it a surprise that they are A. rubida, mainly because this planting appears to be very healthy while the planting at HGW is riddled with rust galls, sucking insect or mite injury to new growth and major borer damage to the extent that stems just break off! Most plants are affected one way or another and we have had to clean up the mess to reduce the fire risk. I will have a more detailed look at the Carruthers street plantings.
