I should have said it is a species of Stenopsychodes. Only one genus in Australia, another in Neotropics, and a third in the east Palaearctic/Oriental regions
Glad to hear it, Kim. I was pretty pleased too. When photographing it (with 400 mm lens so 2m distant) I thought I was photographing a moth hiding deep in a bush. It was only when I got home and was going through that day's photos that I took a second take and thought it looked more like a caddisfly. Gonna keep my eye out and try for a clearer photo.
