Is there something wrong with the colour rendering on your phone/camera? I have seen oodles of these and the flowers are always purple, occasionally white.

There shouldn't be, the close ups are from my camera (Panasonic DMC-GF3) and the non-close is from my phone (Sony Xperia). So that's two different devices, both show the same colour. Perhaps it was due to the time? It was late afternoon and on the shady side of black mountain.

The leaves also appear to be a more washed out colour. Perhaps a mutation I have not seen before.
