They are in there somewhere. I could hear them.

Just to clarify- I (ANKE MARIA) did listen to Mike's recording of the species- so it has been confirmed by me in the proper way.

Nice one guys, thanks for the creative sighting! Because we have this record verified by the official FrogWatch coordinator, this all makes perfect sense and you guys have reported/confirmed/handled it in the perfect way. Ideally, I'd like to have proper audio support however built into the platform over the longer term... Something to think about when the time is right (we have a bit too much on at present, but I want to come back to it).

They seem to be out in force at the moment- yesterday I took a recording of about 10-15 at Fadden Hills Pond, and I had only every heard a few there on one or 2 occasions prior to this summer

An interesting future prospect, maybe 'Amphibian Audio' etc.

I know Aaron has been thinking about audio in the future. I didnt know how to report these frogs without a photo and did not want to follow Ryu with a cartoon frog picture. So I decided habitat was important too. That had the advantage of also providing location and date as well.

I did have one where I did a similar thing as this with a photo of the spot they could be heard from once, but subsequently deleted the sighting following the discussion we had on that other sighting. It would be nice if in the comments, you could upload the audio on a 3rd party site (google drive, soundcloud etc.) and put in a link at least until such a feature is developed, which would help educate the public and for everyone to comment on ID
